Furniture & Interior Craftsmanship

Made for spaces that matter.

We design, make and install furniture and interior joinery, from a single lounge chair to a forty-two room hotel package.

Joinery being fitted by hand in the ZANOVA workshop

The workshop

Drawn, machined, hand-fitted and finished under one roof.

Nothing is subcontracted out of sight. Machining, joinery, upholstery and finishing all happen in the same building, which is why we can change a dimension on a Tuesday and still ship on schedule.

About ZANOVA

Custom work

If it can be drawn, it can be made.

Work from your architect's drawings, a photograph, or a sketch on the back of an invoice. We produce general arrangement drawings for approval before anything is cut.

01

Consultation

We meet on site or online, take the brief, and establish budget, programme and access constraints.

02

Design

General arrangement drawings, elevations and, where volume justifies it, a full prototype for sign-off.

03

Material Selection

Timber, stone, metal and textiles selected against use, climate and maintenance capability.

04

Craftsmanship

Machining to jig, hand-fitted joinery, upholstery and finishing in our own workshop.

05

Delivery & Installation

Crating, transport and installation by our own teams, including remote and phased programmes.

Projects

Delivered, installed, still in service.

Full furniture packages for lodges, hotels, restaurants and private homes across the region.

Clients

What they say afterwards.

“We're into our second high season and I keep waiting for something to fail. The spares crate they shipped with us is still sealed. The only thing we've broken is a mirror in transit, and that was our driver's doing, not the piece.”

Grace Mwaikenda

Lodge manager, Serengeti Safari Lodge

“They asked for our setting-out drawings before they would quote, which almost nobody does. The kitchen island landed three millimetres off our dimension. We checked expecting to find trouble. There wasn't any.”

Peter Kasilu

Project architect, Dar es Salaam

“We stayed open the whole way through: night installs in the public areas, floors done one at a time. The bar top took a full year of service before it needed anything more than an oil. That genuinely surprised our own contractor.”
